Menlo-Atherton High School In-Person Graduation 2021

M-A will be following the CDPH guidelines for graduation.

  • In order to not exceed the maximum occupancy limit for our graduation venue we are limiting attendees to 2 household members per graduating student or student(s) if you have multiple students graduating.
  • If your student belongs to 2 households they may have one guest from each household.
  • Attendees must register in advance of the graduation, and only those who have preregistered may attend.
  • Masks are required at all times during the graduation
  • Seats and circulation areas will maintain a 6’ clearance
  • Attendees should self-screen for fever and COVID-19 symptoms before leaving home for the event.

If you choose NOT to attend graduation, please do the following:

  • Notify administration that you will NOT be attending graduation in person.
  • Form in ENGLISH
  • From in SPANISH
  • Enjoy the graduation ceremony at home with family and friends.  The ceremony will be live-streamed for family and friends at home. The link will be shared via email prior to the event.

How to make a free reservation for graduation

Starting Date Saturday, May 15th to Thursday June 3rd 

1- Online registration.  Each student will be sent an invitation to their school email on Saturday, May 15th. Every student attending graduation must RSVP for up to 2 attendees.

  • Determine the 2 attendees for the reservation. If your student belongs to 2 households they may have one guest from each household. The guests from the two households will have to sit together as they are considered from the same household. All seats are set up in pairs in all the zones.
  • Select a seating zone. Each zone will have general seating. All seats within a seating zone will have 2 seats each with a 6′ distance around on all sides to comply with the CDPH guidelines. To comply with the occupancy guidelines there are no single seats for this event.
  • You can print out the tickets at home, download the EventCreate app on your mobile device click HERE , or take a photo of your ticket for check-in.

2- Pick up a registration form at the front office. Once you have completed the registration form you can leave it at the front desk. You will be sent a confirmation of your registration including the seating zone.

Guidelines for ticket reservations

  • For family’s with twins only one of your students will receive the RSVP email. In order to comply with our maximum occupancy for the event families of twins will only be able to reserve 2 tickets.
  • If you are a blended family and have two students living in the same household each of the students will receive an RSVP email and will be allowed to reserve 2 tickets each.
  • Once you RSVP you will receive a confirmation email with the ticket attached in pdf form. This can be shared with your 2 household guests.
  • Tickets are non-transferrable because we are required to pre-register all attendees.

There will be a check-in help table for any questions or concerns the day of graduation.

There are four seating zones. Each zone has a different check-in time. Please show up at the correct time so we can start graduation at 4:00pm sharp! Students will be seated in alphabetical order.

  • 2:45pm to 3:00pm Zone A to AA
    • Zone A seating is on the left side of the stage. Seats are next to students seated with last names “M-Marc” to mid -“P”.
    • Zone AA seating on the right side of the stage. Seats are next to students seated with last names “A” to “D”.
  • 3:00pm to 3:15pm Zone B to BB
    • Zone B seating on the right side of the stage. Seats are next to students seated with last names from mid -“P” to “T”.
    • Zone BB seating on the right side of the stage. Seats are next to students seated with last names “E” to “K”.
  • 3:15pm-3:30pm Zone C to CC
    • Zone C seating on the left side of the stage. Seats are next to students seated with last names from middle to end of “T” to “W”.
    • Zone CC seating on the right side of the stage. Seats are next to students seated with last names “L” to last names starting with “Marq”.
  • 3:30pm – 3:45pm Zone D
    • Zone D seating faces the graduation stage behind the students.

Tips to selecting your seating zone 

  1. If you want to sit near where your student is seated during graduation you can look at the map linked above to see where they are seated.
  2. If you would like to see your student receive their diploma on the stage
  • Locate where you student will be seated. Look at the map linked above.
  • If your student is seated on the right side of the stage they will walk up the right side ramp to the center of the stage and turn down the center ramp back to their seats. To see your student you will want to be on the left side of the stage. Zones A, B, C.
  • If your student is seated on the left side of the stage they will walk up the left side ramp to the center of the stage and turn down the center ramp back to their seats. To see your student you will want to be on the right side of the stage. Zones AA, BB, CC.
  1. There will be two 8’x10′ LED screens showing the graduation live. These screens will be on either side of the stage and should allow attendees to view students receiving their diplomas.

  • Make sure to bring a print out of your reservation, EventCreate app confirmation or screen shot of your reservation with you to the check-in time for your zone. You will need to show your reservation confirmation to admitted to the graduation ceremony.
  • Check-in is at the gym parking lot/baseball field (T lot). Check-in will be under the white tents. Line up on the sidewalk along the baseball field and then along Ringwood heading toward Middlefield road.
  • After check-in you will be asked to follow the cueing lines on the baseball field maintaining 6’ distance from the next attendee.
  • Once your zone is allowed to be seated, you may select any seat in your assigned zone.

Mrs. Kennel will excuse all graduates off the field to four different locations on campus.

  • Students with the last names A-F will meet at the PAC/Bear area
  • Students with the last name G-M will meet on the Baseball Field
  • Students with the last name M-P will meet on the Green
  • Students with the last name Q-Z will meet at the G-wing

Once graduates are off the field parents will be able to meet their students at the different locations.

We will have backdrops at all four locations for you to take photos of your graduates. Though this limits full-campus access for photos to avoid crowds, we plan to leave all the backdrops up through the weekend, so every family and friend group has the opportunity to come back and take photos together. We do suggest returning over the weekend and taking photos you might have missed out on with all your family members or friends.

If your student is going to attend Grad Night you will only have an hour between the ceremony and Grad Night check-in.  Students should plan on changing at school unless they can get home and back quickly for check-in.  We’ll provide drinks, snacks and pizza for the graduates while they wait for the busses.

Join the fun and help with Senior Events and Grad Night

There will only be an hour between graduation and Grad Night check-in. If you have time help us check-in seniors attending grad night. It is a fun way to see seniors before they get on the busses to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Cómo hacer una reserva gratuita para la graduación – Desde el 14 de mayo hasta el 2 de junio

1- Se puede registrar en línea en (I’ll add hyperlink)                      .

  • Necesitará el correo electrónico de la escuela de sus estudiantes para hacer su reserva (@seq.org).
  • Seleccione una zona de asientos. Nos e puede selecionar asientos particulares, solo la zona.
  • Sólo se puede reservar 2 boletos.
  • Puede imprimir el boleto en casa, descargar la aplicación EventBrite en su móvil o tomar una foto de su boleto para el check-in.

2- Recoja un formulario de registro en la oficina principal. Una vez que haya completado el formulario de registro, puede dejarlo en la recepción. Se le enviará una confirmación de su registro, incluida la zona de asientos.

Zonas de Asientos

Hay cuatro zonas de asientos. Cada zona tiene una hora de entrada diferente. ¡Preséntese a la hora correcta para que podamos comenzar la graduación a las 4:00 pm en punto! Los estudiantes se sentarán en orden alfabético.

  • 2:45pm to 3:00pm Zona A to AA
    • Los asientos de la Zona A están en el lado izquierdo del escenario. Los asientos están al lado de los estudiantes sentados con apellidos “M” (después de los que empiezan con Mapo) hasta los apellidos “P”.

3:00pm to 3:15pm Zona B to BB

    • Asientos de la Zona BB en el lado derecho del escenario. Los asientos están al lado de los estudiantes sentados con los apellidos “E” a “K”.
  • 3:15pm-3:30pm Zona C to CC
    • Asientos de la Zona C en el lado derecho del escenario. Los asientos están al lado de los estudiantes sentados con los apellidos “T” a “W”.
    • Asientos de la Zona cc en el lado derecho del escenario. Los asientos están al lado de los estudiantes sentados con los apellidos “L” a “M” (hasta los que empiezan por Mapo) .
  • 3:30pm – 3:45pm Zone D
    • Los asientos de la Zona D miran hacia el escenario de graduación detrás de los estudiantes

Tips to selecting your seating zone

  • Para ayudarlo a seleccionar los asientos, deberá mirar dónde se sentará su Si su estudiante está sentado en el lado derecho del escenario, usará la rampa del lado derecho del escenario para subir al podio de graduación. En el podio estarán mirando hacia las zonas A, B y C.
  • Si su estudiante está sentado en el lado izquierdo del escenario, usará la rampa del lado izquierdo del escenario para subir al podio de graduación. En el podio estarán orientados hacia las zonas AA, BB y CC.
  • Habrá dos pantallas LED de 8’x10’ grabando la graduación en vivo. Estas pantallas estarán a ambos lados del escenario para que todos las vean.

Indicaciones para el check-in y la entrada para el día de graduación

  • Asegúrese de llevar una copia impresa, la confirmación de la App de EventBrite o una captura de pantalla de su reserva a la hora de registro de su zona. Necesitará uno de estos para ser admitido en la ceremonia de graduación.
  • El check-in se realiza en el estacionamiento del gimnasio / campo de béisbol debajo de las carpas blancas. Forme fila en la acera a lo largo del campo de béisbol y luego a lo largo de Ringwood en dirección a Middlefield Road.
  • Después de check-in, se le pedirá que siga las líneas de señalización en el campo de béisbol manteniendo una distancia de 6 pies del próximo asistente.
  • Una vez que su zona tenga permiso para sentarse, puede seleccionar cualquier asiento en su zona asignada.

Graduation Recessional Directions-HERE 

  • La Sra. Kennel excusará a todos los graduados del campo a cuatro lugares diferentes en el campus.
  • Los estudiantes con los apellidos A-F se reunirán en el área de PAC/Oso.
  • Los estudiantes con los apellidos G-M se reunirán en el campo de béisbol.
  • Los estudiantes con los apellidos M-P se reunirán en el Green
  • Los estudiantes con los apellidos Q-Z se reunirán en el ala G

Una vez que los graduados estén fuera del campo, los padres podrán reunirse con sus estudiantes en los diferentes lugares.  Tendremos decoraciones en los cuatro lugares para que pueda tomar fotos de sus graduados. Aunque esto limita el acceso a todo el campus para evitar multitudes, planeamos dejar todas las decoraciones durante el fin de semana, para que cada grupo de familiares y amigos tenga la oportunidad de tomar fotos juntos. Le sugerimos que regrese durante el fin de semana para tomar fotos con todos sus familiares y/o amigos.

Si su estudiante va a asistir a la Noche de Graduación, solo tendrá una hora entre la ceremonia y el check-in de la Noche de Graduación.  Los estudiantes deben planear cambiarse en la escuela a menos que puedan llegar a casa y regresar rápidamente para el check-in.  Proporcionaremos bebidas, snacks y pizza para los graduados mientras esperan los autobuses.
