Sophomore Programs

CAHSEE

Starting with the class of 2006, all California students are required to pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) in order to be awarded a high school diploma. The CAHSEE has two parts: English and mathematics. The English section covers state standards through grade 10. The mathematics test covers state standards in grades 6 and 7, and Algebra I.

The test is first given in the sophomore year of high school. Students may retake any section that they did not pass as a sophomore in the junior and senior years.
